swale search & recovery club

The Swale Search and Recovery club has around 35 active members.

It has been in existence for 25 years, originally as the Isle of Sheppey Metal Detecting Society, until relocating in Strood under its current name.

Club meetings are held every fortnight on a Thursday evening at the Crispin and Crispianus Public House in Strood, Kent. Our club members come with all levels of ability and experience in the hobby and are happy to welcome newcomers. Any prospective members wishing to join the club may be asked to enroll on the waiting list. As a member you will belong to the NCMD (National Council for Metal Detecting)

Recently the club became a member of the Kent Wildlife Trust.

We hope to be able to support them in new ventures.

In addition to regular club meetings we attend rallies,

sometimes small events on our own club land,

sometimes national events along with other clubs.

Like a lot of metal detecting clubs, we offer a FREE recovery service

to those of you who have lost a ring, keys, farm implements, man-holes,

and other personal items, provided that your lost item is within a reasonable geographic distance.
